Karl Jones grew up fishing the waters of Oregon and Southern Washington with his Outfitter dad. He started guiding at the age of 15 on the Deschutes and other Central Oregon streams. When he moved to Montana at the age of 18 to go to school at the University of Montana something clicked and Karl knew he had found a home. He continued to guide in Oregon all through college but after graduating with a degree in Forestry he decided to move on to new and different waters. After guiding in Idaho and Oregon for Trout, Steelhead and Salmon he decided to move back to Missoula where he felt most at home and build a business. Karl has at one time or another guided on most of the famous rivers in Montana, Idaho, and Oregon as well as in Patagonia, Chile but it was the fish of Western Montana that always drew him back.
As a second generation outfitter Karl has been around the business of taking people fishing his whole life and knows what it takes to create an exciting enjoyable experience for the customers day after day – year after year.
